Treatment for fibroadenoma of the breast
The treatment for fibroadenoma of the breast should be guided by a mastologist, but is usually done only with annual mammograms and ultrasonography to monitor the development of the nodule.
However, if the doctor suspects that the lump is cancer instead of fibroadenoma, he may recommend surgery to remove the fibroadenoma and perform a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.
