Potaba

Potaba is a medicine used in the treatment of skin and muscular diseases, such as dermatomyositis or Peyronie's disease, helping to make the skin more flexible and avoiding the formation of fibrosis plaques. The active principle of Potaba is the potassium P-aminobenzoate.

Potaba can be sold in tablet form and marketed by Glenwood GmbH.

Indications of Potaba

Potaba is indicated for diseases such as scleroderma, dermatomyositis, morphea and linear scleroderma, pemphigus, Peyronie's disease and fibrosis.

How to use Potaba

The mode of use of Potaba is to take 12g per day, divided into 4 or 6 times, after meals, according to your doctor's advice. In children, the amount should be 220 mg of Potaba per kg of body weight of the child, divided into 4 or 6 times, after meals.

Side Effects of Potaba

The side effects of Potaba can be anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, redness, itching, headache and nervousness.

Contraindications of Potaba

Potaba is contraindicated for patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula, as well as in individuals taking sulfonamide antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
