The method of use of Azelan is to apply, twice a day, morning and night, on top of the pimples, massaging carefully. The application of the product should only be done after washing the skin with running water or mild cleansing agent. After applying the product should wash hands.
Azelan is the commercial name of a dermatological ointment in the form of cream or gel, which has azelaic acid as the active principle, indicated to take skin patches and dry the pimples, being very effective in the treatment of acne. This cream is from the Bayer laboratory and works by eliminating the bacterium Propionibacterium acnes, reduces the roughness of the skin and helps in the elimination of blackheads.
The duration of the treatment depends on the degree of acne intensity, but in general it is obtained improvement after 4 weeks, being necessary, however, to obtain better results, its use for more time.

The price of Azelan varies from 20 to 40 reais, depending on the dosage and amount of the medicine and can be bought in pharmacies and drugstores, even without a prescription.
What Azelan is for
Azelan is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris and rosacea papulopustulosa and should be used under the indication of the pharmacist, general practitioner or dermatologist.
Possible side effects
The main side effects of Azelan include redness in the skin, exfoliation, itching and burning sensation. Other common changes are dry skin, the exact location of the application, color change, becoming clearer.
Less common reactions include increased oiliness, numbness, dermatitis, pain and swelling at the site of application, dry lips and fissures in the corner of the mouth. Even in the most severe cases they may suggest small bubbles and wound formation.
When not to use
Azelan is contraindicated for pregnant women during breast-feeding and for patients with allergies to any component of the formula. This product is also not intended for use in the mouth, eyes and mucous membranes, and lasts only 6 months after opening the carton.
This product has not been tested in children under 12 years of age and in people over 65 years of age, and therefore at these ages it is not indicated.
